HELP... if you can

So, I go out and purchase Corel Painter 11 and the large Wacom tablet. Yep, getting into the digital art thing... I'd say, "dippin' my toe," but the price of all this prohibits such words as dippin.' There's a financial impetus here to make sure this works.

Now, saying that, any y'all (illustrator types) have words of wisdom to share? Like, best free tutorials or those that cost $$$? Got tricks for a fastest learning curve?
Books, opinions of best! I guess, anything that'll speed or add insight to the process of getting all this computer-ese between my ears?

Thanks,

Haste yee back ;-)

  3. Having a book cover worked on now - not that easy. The cover on my first book turned out okay but this one needs to be a homerun. Good luck with your work.

  4. Jax,
I do the writing and drawing... I don't find much help vis-a-vis painter and illustrators, most content and tutorials are aimed for photogs.

Hey, thanks for stopping by. Next time it'll be open bar!

  7. I do try to have fun in comments at blogs... but alas, my brand of humor is often not understood. There are a few times when I am serious... but not too often.

    Have a happy 4th!
